Challenging Forces that Perpetuate Poverty

Dim Yma understands that poverty is not simply an abstract state devoid of context but instead is a manifestation of policy-making. All too often it is by design, be it deliberately or unwittingly, but regardless of the intent we aim to hold forces which perpetuate poverty to account.

Just as Ken Loach produced a paradigm shift with his seminal “Cathy Come Home” in 1966, Dim Yma seeks the tackle long-held beliefs about homelessness with a series of incisive documentaries exploring the myriad of ways that a whole host of services and failing the rough sleeper community.

Our campaigns aim to go beyond simply awareness raising. Each campaign will be supported by comprehensive research undertaken by Dim Yma and we aim to secure concrete objectives on behalf of our clients, be it through access to better housing, reductions in evictions and improvements to health and safety.
