A Change to Recharge

Rough sleeping deprives clients of even the most basic necessities than some of us may take for granted, such as staying warm, washing and keeping safe. This is why, once a week per client, we offer them a stay in a hotel for a night so they can have a shower, relax with TV and get a better night's sleep.

Emergency Stay

Each client who is sleeping on the streets is entitled to one stay at a local Travelodge where the price can be as low as £30 on week-days. We use the same Travelodge in Cardiff as we are familiar with the staff who are friendly, empathetic and supportive.

Weather Monitoring and Warnings

Dim Yma routinely checks weather forecasts, especially during cold and rainy periods. This is so we can advise clients to use their “Get Safe” entitlement on the coldest or rainiest day of the week, although the decision is ultimately theirs to make. This of course is most needed during the worst weather of the year.
