Purposes of this Policy
This policy sets out our commitment to:
- Ensure Dim Yma is free from any kind of prejudice or discrimination and that all stakeholders are treated with respect and dignity, irrespective of their background.
- Make all those working with Dim Yma aware of their responsibilities to equality and ensure that they uphold our values.
- Ensure that we apply this commitment to our recruitment process so that those working with us come from a wide and diverse range of backgrounds.
- Deliver services to all clients fairly and without prejudice, giving all individuals the equal right to receive support regardless of their background.
Scope of this Policy
This policy is applicable to:
- All people who work with Dim Yma including staff members, volunteers and trustees.
- All clients in receipt of Dim Yma’s services.
- All prospective personnel seeking to work with Dim Yma.
Commitments of this Policy
Dim Yma will commit to:
- Encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace and in the delivery of services.
- Managing a working environment that is free of bullying, harassment and unlawful discrimination.
- Take any complaints surrounding discrimination seriously and conducting a thorough investigation into any complaints made.
- Provide any necessary training to those working with Dim Yma on their responsibilities with respect to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Review this policy on an annual basis and update it in accordance with the law.
